We asked Santa for a new vehicle and he delivered it just before Christmas!

The new Staria is due to be modified in March by Automobility.

The modifications will include a fold out rear ramp and this will allow a wheelchair to be loaded via the back door.

People with walking difficulties will be able to walk up the ramp using their walkers. There will be seating for 5 people or 3 people and one wheel chair.  It is a great addition to the Connect You Too fleet.

Connect You Too has been busy helping the community get out and about during March 2024.

In March 2024, we did a total of 2,404 trips with a total of 76,447 service kms. Our popular destinations included 98 trips to Ballina; 84 trips to Coffs Harbour; 4 trips to the Gold Coast; 761 trips to Grafton; 80 trips to Lismore and 239 trips to the Yamba/Maclean area.

We managed to get the community to 954 Specialist and GP appointments; 151 Hospital visits (Day Surgery drop off/pick-up); 378 social trips & 701 shopping trips.

In March, our social trips travelled to The Farm, Byron Bay. This month we are heading to the Coffs Harbour Nursery. And in May, we are off to Burringbar to visit Heaths Old Wares & have lunch at Tweed Valley Whey Farmhouse Cheeses.

Our Clarence Meals service delivered 1,188 meals, 320 desserts and 42 soups during March 2024. We were able to do welfare checks, have a quick chat and help our customers see a friendly face.

Clarence Meals provides delivered meals to Iluka, Maclean and Yamba and surrounds from suppliers including Gourmet Meals, Lite n’ Easy and Meals on Wheels Grafton. For more information call 6646 6742.
