Our Story

Connect You Too was formed in August 2019 with the combination of Clarence Community Transport, A2B Transport Solutions, Airport Transfer Service and Clarence Meals.

However we’ve been around a lot longer than that, providing community transport in the Clarence Valley since 1990 and meals at Meals on Wheels Iluka since 1979. We have grown a lot since then, and during 2023 we supported a total of 2,912 registered customers!


It takes quite a lot of people to meet the transport needs of the Clarence Valley, we employ 22 staff and appreciate the hard work of over 40 volunteers.

During 2023 we provided 26,405 trips, covering 1,031,284kms, and delivered 13,963 meals with 4,020 desserts. Connect You Too is a registered charity under the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission and is a company limited by guarantee. We accept donations and bequests to help us continue to serve the community.

Just because you’re unable to drive yourself, doesn’t mean you need to miss out on what is important to you!

  • As a Connect You Too customer you have the right to a quality transport service that

    • encourages your independence 
    • is consistent, safe and respects your dignity
    • responds to your social, cultural and physical needs
    • is based on your needs and our capacity to meet those needs.
  • Your information and views

    • We listen to your views in planning and evaluating your transport service.
    • We will respect all customer’s rights to privacy and confidentiality.
    • You can access all information about you held by Connect You Too (Connectu2).
  • Giving feedback about a transport service

    • Any complaints you have will be dealt with fairly, promptly and without retribution.
    • We encourage feedback from our customers to assist us in improving our services

Your responsibilities

  • As a Connect You Too customer, it is your responsibility to let us know
    • if you are not going to be at home when drivers are due to visit
    • if there are significant changes in your circumstances.
  • It is also your responsibility to
    • use seatbelts and other vehicle safety devices as directed by drivers
    • act in a way which respects the rights of other Connectu2 customers and drivers

  • Appointing an advocate
    • You may involve an advocate or legal guardian, such as a friend or family member of your choice, to represent your interests.
